Get those tickets to the Calhoun Entertainment Company Spring Musical, “9 to 5,” taking place on March 24, 25 and 26. At the Center for American Archeology Gym.
Also, while in the neighborhood, get those Queen of Hearts tickets. We are on the search at our Kampsville Legion.
St. Anselm’s Cemetery Committee hosted a successful game night Saturday evening and a great time was had by all. Such a worthwhile cause. It is not cheap to keep mowing and all that’s necessary to keep the cemetery looking nice. Thank you to everyone who donated and came out to enjoy the fun.
St. John’s Lutheran Easter Egg Hunt is April 8 at 1 p.m. Anyone wanting to donate candy or treats for the eggs, please let me know.
The second annual “Princess Tea Party” will be held Saturday, April 15, at St. Anselm’s Hall. There will be two different sessions, ages 4 to 9. Must be signed up by April 10. Miss Calhoun Lucy Kallal, Jr. Miss Caroline Adams and Little Miss Karson Hillen will be assisting and all money raised will go to the Calhoun County Fair.
Anyone wishing to donate a raffle item for the Betty Grissom benefit which will be held Saturday, May 13, at the Eldred Legion please contact Barb Bailey.
The “Bugg Family Opry” will be opening for their Grand Opening show April 14 in Pearl at the former Church of Christ.
Congratulations to Kortney Herkert, Calhoun High School March Student of the Month, for Courage. Kortney is the daughter of Jeff Herkert of Kampsville and the late Gwen Herkert.
Congratulations, Samantha Kaufman, on receiving a $2,500 Scholarship from Farm Credit Services. Samantha is the daughter of Samual and Courtney Kaufman of Kampsville.
Little Everleigh Brangenberg celebrated her first birthday with a “Donut Grow Up” birthday party held Saturday at the Rastello Room. Everleigh is the daughter of Stephen and Katelyn Brangenberg and granddaughter of Billy and Marcia Agney, Melinda Brangenberg and the late Mark Brangenberg.
Happy 82nd Birthday to Elda Hayn on March 17.
Happy 11th Birthday to Hinley Hayn on March 18.
Congratulations Joe and Dana Baalman on the birth of their daughter. Stella Michelle Baalman made her debut on March 15, weighing 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 19 inches long. Proud grandparents are Darren and Chris Hayn of Kampsville and Matt and Missy Baalman of Hardin.
Update on Connor Gilman:
He has begun the next step on his journey for the next 6-7 weeks. He will have radiation treatments as well at OT, PT and speech therapy. Connor and his family continue to be blessed by all the prayers, texts, donations, phone calls and cards. So please keep those prayers coming and continue prayers for Joyce Blumenberg, Joe Gress, Raymond Sievers, Isabel McGlaughin, Kurt Roth, Jerry Crader, Kathryn Chapman, Bob Banghart, Bruce Williams, Justin Williams, Whitney Gibson, Zel Blumenberg, Linda Herkert and Cassie Blackwell.
