Easter Egg Hunt and soup supper Sunday, April 2
April is fast approaching, seems we were just talking about the lion or lamb of March, well anyway more beautiful days ahead! Better be getting your mowers tuned up!
Pleasant Hill Community Club will be having an Easter Egg Hunt and Soup Supper this Sunday, April 2 starting at noon. The Easter Egg hunt will begin at 2 p.m. Free will donation for lunch and all kids 18 and under free for egg hunt.
There will livestock back at the Pike County Fair this year, yeah! They will have a jackpot show and open shows for beef, sheep, and goats. (under 21). But they have to build gates for both barns. The Pleasant Hill Ag classes have built the gates. If you are willing to donate and sponsor a plaque, gate or bedding for the shows this would be so much appreciated, you can donate $30, $50 or whatever to help out. The plaques and gates will have metal plaques with your name personal or business. There is a flyer sheet to complete but you can also mail a check made out to Pike Co Fair to Cindy Gerard, 21248 County Hwy 7, Pittsfield, 62363.
Also the Pike County Fair has sponsorship application if interested in donation to the fair, several options available. It is available on Pike County Illinois Fair Facebook page or contact Cole McKinnon at (618)535-0415 or can E-mail at [email protected]. So glad to see great things happening for the Pike Co Fair!
Don’t forget the Martinsburg Market will have their fresh donuts this coming Saturday. Always a yummy treat!
“When you do what you do with a will and a smile, everything that you do will seem twice as worthwhile. Today concentrate on your attitude and your expression. If you wear a smile you’re bound to appear happier and you might just find you are happier.”
