School supply give-away, Aug 5 in Nebo
Here is August already, it has arrived and the last full month of summer, time sure flies!
It’s that time again, it’s already time to start thinking about getting ready for back to school! There will be a school supply give away again this year, but it will look a little different than usual. We will be doing it at the Nebo Community Center at 105 Carroll St. You must be there to pick up supplies for your child/children. This will be Saturday August 5 at 1p.m. until 3p.m.(unless we run out). This is for all area kids. Not just Nebo kids.
Sending out a Big Thank You to those fine businesses/groups Central State Bank, Pike Soccer, Maschoffs that helped in a big way, offering free swim for those super hot days! So much appreciated! And how fortunate our community is to have this very nice summer soak and splash pad~our town pool, all these years and hope it continues for years to come!
Bring your families and come join us at the Pleasant Hill Park for a movie July 29 at 8:45 p.m! “Avatar: The Way of Water” sponsored by Pleasant Hill Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. There will be hot dogs, popcorn and soda available for purchase. It is free will donation! Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets. Come help support our community volunteers!
Happy Belated Birthday to that dear Mildred White, who turned 101! How amazing is that! Hope it was a very sweet one Mildred!
