Kampsville American Legion will hold their Annual Memorial Day Service beginning at 11 a.m. at Schumann Memorial Park. Lunch will be served at the Legion beginning at noon with chicken and mashed potatoes being provided. Side dishes, and desserts are welcome.

My apologies for no Point News last week. I was in SSM St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Charles, MO for a couple heart procedures and when I was dismissed, I spent a few days with each of my daughters’ and their families. Many thanks to them for the great care I received.

Happy Mother’s Day. Many of us are thinking about our mothers, and many of us are mothers, and grandmothers Thank God for Mothers!

The water is definitely coming up and has displaced a few things here in town, hopefully it will crest soon, and recede back to where it should be.

The Inaugural Rick Smith Demo Derby was a success and a great time was had by all, the 80’s Band Big Guns was enjoyed by all.

Tonight, at the GP Middle School in Perry, you can attend the GPMS Spring Showcase! The Showcase will feature two drama performances from 5pm-6:30pm and 5:30pm-6pm. The past week was very nice but weather report for today, Monday, is for golf ball sized, or larger, hail during rush hour, also high winds and possibly a tornado. I hope the weatherman is wrong, sure don’t need any of that.
