It’s a beautiful spring day, breezy and cool. Sunday the peonies are close to blooming, and the mushrooms are almost out of season.

A little wind and a bit chilly on Saturday for Prom but no one seemed to mind. Such a beautiful dresses, gorgeous girls and very handsome guys. Congratulations to Prom King and Queen Jack Goode and Kiera Sievers.

Calhoun Junior Senior prom is this weekend walk-in begins at 6 p.m. at the Calhoun Fairgrounds with coronation to follow.

Sorry, there was no Point News last week due to my computer being down. Many thanks to my son John who finally fixed the problem and has me up and going again.

It’s a beautiful Spring. The Redbud and Dogwood Trees are blooming this week. It is a good idea to save these trees if you are eliminating trees. They are beautiful. The wildwood flowers, daffodils, bluebells, dutchman britches, are in season. Garden flowers are coming up too. Mushrooms are out in the wood areas. It’s great…

I hope everyone had a great Easter. I had a house full and that’s just how I love it. The adults enjoyed the egg hunt as much the kids.

The Easter Weekend began with unpredictable weather. The Batchtown Woman’s Club, and the Easter Bunny met the children, and their parents at the Town Building. The children enjoyed talking with the bunny, and receiving the Easter eggs, and candy from the Woman’s Club members. All enjoyed Easter Egg Hunt of 2026.

Be sure to stop by the Griggsville City Cemetery to see the 250th birthday banner hanging on the fence that was donated by Diane (Wade) McLeese. It’s a nice addition. THANK YOU, Diane!
